What feels natural often reflects where we belong.

In one place, everyday life can be so ordinary that it goes unnoticed. Somewhere else, it can feel like, "Is that possible?"

TrayAtlas does not see that gap as novelty or difference. It sees it simply as the fact that time spent in a place shapes the form of that place. Everyday life has a reason for being where it is, and it deserves to be respected for that reason. Without satire, criticism, or ranking, we simply observe.

We hope that the work of tracing the outline of one place can become a space that reflects someone's own everyday life, and, for someone else, a landscape they have never seen before, at the same time.
